Hot Biscuit Band + Persuaders
Hot Biscuit Band | 7.30pm
A pair of hand crafted boots, the tinted Lennonesque glasses, the trademark voice, the whiskey town harp, the grand canyon repertoire, he’s the son of a preacher man dubbed Perth’s grandfather of blues. Rick Steele with fellow Hot Biscuits, Richie Pavledis, Marc Gordon, Tony Shergold and Greg Thompson. Like a well-aged red, or rejects from a nursing home the H B B returns for a rerun, like a bald ageing second hand tyre.
Persuaders | 8.45pm
First there was the Earth, then there was man. Now there is The Persuaders.
With decades of collective playing experience and a wide range of musical influences, these 5 lads have come together to create a super tight band with a punchy dance blues vibe.
Inspired by British Blues from the 60s and 70s and drawing material from greats such as The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Tony Joe White and the legendary Aussie outfit The Bondi Cigars they will have you on the dance floor in no time.
Led by the charismatic showmanship and powerful vocals of Rob Pring, a sizzling dual lead guitar attack that knows both major and minor pentatonic, and a driving rhythm section this is a band that will have you on your feet from the get go!
The Persuaders are: Rob Pring – vocals, Tim Hoare-Ward – guitar, Sam Simmonds – more guitar, Ian Parkin – bass and Dave Turner – drums
