John Smoker and the Midnight Jammers + Cross Eyed Cats

John Smoker and the Midnight Jammers | 7.30pm

John Smoker and the Midnight Jammers are gearing up for an electrifying concert dedicated to the music of Willie Dixon. This highly anticipated performance at the PBC promises to be a night to remember for blues enthusiasts. The band, known for their dynamic performances and deep appreciation for classic blues, will cover Dixon’s iconic songs, breathing new life into timeless tracks. With meticulous attention to detail and a passion for preserving Dixon’s powerful songwriting and innovative arrangements, John Smoker and the Midnight Jammers are set to deliver a performance that honors the blues legend while showcasing their own impressive musicianship.

Cross Eyed Cats | 9.00pm

The Cross Eyed Cats hail from Fremantle (mainly) and have been playing some Bloody Good Blues for years. Da Cats’ stylings, some say, is reminiscent of a bullfrog sippin’ Kentucky whisky. Character? I should coco! Steadfast in their unwavering commitment to having a Great Time and playing Bloody Good Blues, The Cross Eyed Cats set list includes about half of their own creation, about a third are creative interpretations of old blues standards and about one sixth (do the maths) are fair and square covers of tunes the boys love. Da Cats are always looking for a Bloody Good Bluesy time.
