PERTH BLUES CLUB ‘Unplugged Session’
The Perth Blues Club presents the inaugural ‘Perth Blues Club Unplugged Sessions’.
This is a fantastic new initiative by the Club that we hope will become a regular feature on our performance calendar. We thought it was time to embrace the simpler things in life. So this week we are presenting three acts performing in a stripped down acoustic, or better known as unplugged, format. The tables will be closer to the stage and we hope to create a more intimate atmosphere for you to relax and listen to some great Blues music.
Wayne Green & K.B. | 7.30pm
Wayne Green & K.B. are a Fremantle based duo of many years experience that play an eclectic mix of roots based songs in a stripped down format…2 voices, one guitar, one harmonica and a good time vibe!!
K.B. was the lead singer of The Bayou Brothers and also(in N.Z.) a brief stint with Russ L’Roq and the Romantics…featuring a pre-Gladiator Russell Crowe.
Wayne Green is well known as the front man of The Phantoms; legendary Perth rock n roll band.
Night Herons | 8.30pm
Pete Romano and Mark Constable make up the Night Herons.
These two have been around the Perth blues scene from before the inception of the Perth Blues Club! Together they form a full sound duo: two vocalists, a guitar and harp.
Simon Cox Duo | 9.30pm
Simon Cox and Angus Diggs have been playing music together for over 20 years. They join each other once again to knock out some New Orleans boogie and blues for the good folk at the PBC. Angus is a well-respected and sought after recording artist in his own right with his own flare. With a unique style of drumming, paired up with his brother Simon these two are sure to keep the party going.
