The Last AvoCado is a band you can’t ignore, led by the dynamic and energetic Zoe Merralls, whose blend of humour, style, and raw talent is the heart and soul of the band. With Zoe’s signature lipstick, oversized earrings, headwear flair, and undeniable stage presence, Zoe is the perfect match for a band that’s anything but ordinary. Though they may be relatively new to the scene, The Last AvoCado is quickly gaining a reputation for their electrifying live shows and genre-bending sound. A fusion of modern blues, funk, and rock, they bring an undeniable “sauce” to everything they do. Their music is all about telling stories, making you laugh, and making you think, but most importantly, making you move.

Four years on from Neanderthal Jam (2022), Datura4 return with their sixth album High on the Low Brow (Alive Naturalsound), once again recorded in their hometown of Fremantle, Western Australia. With Dom Mariani at the helm, it’s another eclectic fusion of blues-rock, boogie, and psychedelia, glued together by sharp songwriting, strong hooks and powerful riffs built from live and loose workouts the band have built their reputation on.
Originating in 2009 out of the port city of Fremantle DATUR4 can be best be described as a ballsy return to full-tilt boogie, psych rock and hard rocking blues with their own original spin on things. Formed and fronted by Dom Mariani of legendary Oz garage rockers The Stems, they have released 5 acclaimed albums on US label Alive-Natural Records; ‘Demon Blues’ (2015), Hairy Mountain (2016), Blessed is the Boogie (2019) West Coast Highway Cosmic (2020) and Neanderthal Jam (2022). These albums and subsequent tours of the east coast and Europe along with features in Classic Rock Magazine (UK) Rolling Stone, Rhythms Magazine (Aust), Blow Up (Italy) Fireworks Magazine, Blues Magazine, Viva Le Rock and Shindig Magazine (UK) just to name a few have garnered them widespread acclaim.
They have also had the honour of opening up for the legendary ZZ Top, Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul, The Cruel Sea, The Pretty Things, The Dictators, The Hoodoo Gurus, New Zealand guitar legend Kevin Borich, Earthless, Endless Boogie, The Godfathers, Jon Spencer Tumbleweed, X and You Am I.
