A new concept, born from an impromptu performance at the Perth Blues Club, has resulted in Perth-based guitarists Michael Vdelli & Andrew McIlroy coming together to form the new dynamic acoustic duo – ‘Acoustafied’.
With a shared passion for the soulful sounds of acoustic blues, Vdelli & McIlroy are set to captivate audiences with their mesmerizing blend of intricate guitar work and heartfelt vocals. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Robert Johnson, Eric Clapton, and B.B. King ‘Acoustafied’ brings a stripped back, modern twist to the classic blues genre.
Michael Vdelli is a seasoned bluesman whose powerful vocals and expert guitar skills have earned him a dedicated following both here and around the world. Well-known for his British Blues influenced guitar playing, Andrew McIlroy joins forces with Vdelli to create a musical experience that is both raw and refined, paying homage to the roots of blues while infusing it with their own unique style.
Fans can expect to hear a mix of original compositions and reimagined blues classics from ‘Acoustafied’, showcasing the duo’s talent for storytelling and musical craftsmanship. Based in the northern suburbs of Perth and a proud mother of two, Toby is firmly grounded in her Australian roots. But her reach extends far beyond. She has toured extensively across Australia, Canada, the USA, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, and the UK.
