Bald Head + Micho Lupo

Bald Head | 7.30pm

Much like the iconic landform and tourist trap located just outside of their hometown of Albany, from which they have appropriated their name, Bald Head aim to attract, impact and exhaust. We have also taken great care in our efforts to resemble the smooth, gleaming, weather polished, feather-free ‘Grail’ that awaits trekkers at the end of the goat track. Bald Head has also taken pains to replicate the immensity of the three-hour hike by struggling their own way through numerous three-hour blues sessions at various live music haunts in and around Albany. As self-proclaimed Cultural Attaché’s to the region we call home, the Bald Head contingent are considering this July ramble up to Perth, a tourist advertisement of sorts. Rev, Kimbo and Ringo, are joined for this event by LeFrench Taunter on bass, who incidentally has not stopped asking or a setlist. Get ready for some soulful and powerful blues renditions of some of our favourites from across the decades.

Micho Lupo | 9.00pm

Hailing from the Southern Forests and Blackwood Valley of Bridgetown, Western Australia, MICHO LUPO (formerly The MDV Band) channels the raw soul of electric blues with a bold blend of funk, rock, and Americana. Drawing inspiration from legends like ZZ Top, Samantha Fish, The Tedeschi Trucks Band, Mountain, and Cream, MICHO LUPO carves out a dynamic sound that swings between cool, laid-back ballads, grooves and explosive, high-voltage riffs. With a stage presence that’s as magnetic as their sound, MICHO LUPO brings the heat delivering gritty, feel-it-in-your-bones blues rock with serious power, soul, and swagger.
