NEW BLUES – special event to welcome new talent to the PBC

Biscuit and Slim | 7.30pm

Country blues duo – Aussie troubadour meets American purveyor or traditional blues. Hailing from different corners of the globe, their collaboration is a testament to the unifying power of music. Slim, no stranger to the local blues music scene, is a true purveyor of traditional and Chicago blues, fresh off the boat in the Land Down Under from upstate New York. Slim is noted for her flatpicking, crosspicking, slide and fingerstyle prowess, which paints a vivid picture of the Mississippi Delta. On the other side of the stage stands Biscuit, the Aussie troubadour with a penchant for storytelling through folk melodies. Hailing from the vast landscapes of Australia, Biscuit’s heartfelt lyrics and melodic prowess create a tapestry of emotions that resonate with audiences worldwide. Her songs weave tales of love, loss, and the human experience, capturing the essence of the Australian folk tradition.

Spinning Jacks | 8.30pm

1/4 cup Amy Winehouse, 1/2 cup sixties blues rock, sprinkle in a few other musical ideas, shake and serve straight. Combining soulful female vocals and a riff laden blues rock instrumentation. Spinning Jacks delivers a sound that is fresh and familiar all at once.

The Drivers Blues Band | 9.15pm

Old school rock blues band bringing the music to you so ya can forget about things for a while. Garry Horan on guitar, David Wood on bass, Jeff Schultz on keys, Ben Morris on skin’s, Brendon Staples on vocals and harmonica.
