Rochelle O’Reilly + Chicago Blues Review

Rochelle O’Reilly | 7.30pm

Rochelle O’Reilly is a WA-based songwriter and recording artist working across blues, soul, jazz, funk, and pop. A 2024 WAM Song of the Year (Global Category) winner for The Water, she is recognised for her expressive vocals, strong songwriting, and groove-driven sound.
Joined by the The Velvet Valour, featuring some of Perth’s finest musicians, Rochelle delivers a dynamic live show with deep rhythms, soulful brass, and plenty of musical range. A festival favourite, including Blues at Bridgetown, her performances reflect a strong connection to blues traditions while allowing space for broader musical influences.

Chicago Blues Review | 9.30pm

Bill Rogers (Harmonica, Sax, Vocals), Kent “Beast” Hughes (Guitar, Vocals) and Bob Patient (Piano, Organ, Vocals) have approximately 150 years of experience between them, playing in some of Australia’s best known blues bands. With a cracking rhythm section (Pete Guazzelli on drums and Graeme Bell on bass) they will bring together that combined experience in a tribute to the greats of the Chicago Blues scene of the 1950s and 60s, including the golden era of Chess Records, with their interpretations of the music of Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Jimmy Reed, Elmore James, BB King, Freddie King and more.
